Local SEO Project Overview
West End Law is a notary business serving clients in downtown Vancouver. The original website was built on legal software that limited the site’s ability to support many important SEO improvements, which made it harder to perform well in local search.
The project began with a local SEO audit to identify the biggest opportunities for improvement. From there, a new strategy was developed and implemented on a self-hosted WordPress website, along with completely new website copy designed to support local visibility and lead generation.
The result was a stronger local search presence, including a 185% increase in organic traffic, a 23-position improvement in Maps ranking, and growth from 17 to 72 ranking keywords. This project is a strong example of how local SEO strategy, improved website structure, and stronger copy can work together to improve local search performance.

What Was Done
Local SEO Audit & Strategy
The project began with a local SEO audit of the original website to identify what was limiting visibility in local search. Once the audit and roadmap were approved, it became clear that the existing legal platform would not support many of the improvements needed, so the strategy shifted toward rebuilding the site on WordPress to allow for stronger local SEO implementation.
On-Page Optimization & Copy
Once the new website was built and published, technical and on-page improvements were completed before new website copy was added. The copy was written to support local search visibility, clearer service messaging, and better lead generation, while the on-page work helped strengthen relevance for the areas the business serves.
