Project Overview

Foodaism is a digital publication focused on food, culture, and travel, created by food critic and writer Rob Eshman. While the site already had strong editorial content, its search visibility and overall organic performance did not reflect the quality of the work.

The project focused on content optimization to improve user experience, strengthen search visibility, and create clearer paths to newsletter subscriptions. That included improving content structure, refining on-page elements, cleaning up technical and linking issues, and making the site easier for both readers and search engines to navigate.

As the work progressed, Foodaism saw measurable gains in traffic, rankings, subscriptions, and AI-driven visibility. The results show what can happen when strong editorial content is supported by a more strategic SEO and content structure.

Within the first month, the site saw major growth in traffic and rankings, and by month nine, it had grown traffic by 1810.51% and newsletter subscriptions by 200%.

What Was Done

Technical SEO & On-Page Optimization

The site was improved through stronger SEO configuration, better metadata, clearer content structure, and updates that helped pages communicate more effectively with both users and search engines. This included refining Yoast settings, improving keyword targeting, strengthening headlines, and making articles easier to read across devices.

Content Optimization & Repurposing

Existing blog content was revised to improve structure, scannability, and clarity. Internal and external links were audited and cleaned up, recipe content was embedded more effectively, and schema was implemented to support stronger search presentation and richer results.

Final Thoughts

Foodaism is a strong example of what strategic content optimization can do for a content-rich website. By improving structure, readability, on-page SEO, and conversion opportunities, the site was better positioned for stronger visibility, better user experience, and continued growth over time.
